Counselling services are available either by GP referral or self-referral basis. Please ask your GP for details. 

Bristol Drugs Project Worker

The Bristol Drugs Project Worker from BDP offers individual sessions to prevent or reduce substance-related harm by helping individuals to stop or control their drug use. 

Local Counselling Agencies

Generally individual counselling for emotional problems can involve a fee, though this may sometimes be reduced for people receiving benefits. For younger people under 25 there are some agencies offering free counselling.

There are many other local agencies which offer counselling. Some of these are for particular problems, ie:
