www.mind.org.uk . Site of Mind, the mental health charity. Provides information on the organisation, its campaign for mental health rights, and their publications.

www.sane.org.uk . Site of Sane, a charity concerned with improving the lives of those affected by mental illness. Provides information about Sane and their discussion groups, as well as information on mental illness and treatments. Topics include depression, mania, anxiety, phobia, schizophrenia, obsessional problems and drug/alcohol abuse.

http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk . Site of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. An extensive site with information about the College, its publications, research and conferences. Includes a useful selection of leaflets to download on  various mental health problems.

Bristol Samaritans
To provide emotional support to anyone in the community suffering despair or distress, particularly those who may have thoughts of suicide. This is a confidential, non-judgemental and free service, run by fully trained volunteers and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
