Medicine Chest

For cuts grazes and burns
Cotton Wool, Antiseptic solutions, Plasters, Dressings, 3" wide crepe bandage and tape.

For coughs
Cough linctus and vapour rubs can be helpful but are of limited use. Warm drinks such as honey and lemon and pastilles to suck may also help.

For hay fever and itchy insect bites
Antihistamines

For cooling the skin
Calamine lotion

Pain killers
Paracetamol tablets
Ibuprofen (Nurofen) For children and adults. Can be taken with Paracetamol for pain relief. Care must be taken if you have asthma or indigestion

To measure fever
Thermometer

For removing splinters
Tweezers
